For almost 100 years, the Coonawarra railway station was a bustling hub and the lifeline for the fledgling wine region.
For the locals it truly was ‘Grand Central’ frequented by travellers and traders alike, with a far grander architecture than the siding that stands today.
Importantly it was the point of dispatch for barrels of Coonawarra’s finest and the first steps taken on a journey for worldwide success.
